WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES HAVE EXPANDED INTO MUCH OF WMASS, NORTHERN CMASS AND SWNH... ADVISORIES CONTINUE FOR SVT, THE BERKSHIRES AND NORTHERN LITCHFIELD COUNTY...

Good late-afternoon folks, I just wanted to pop on here to say that we’ve got a couple of waves of snow on the way tomorrow, and with a potent storm over the Great Lakes we’ll see these two waves drive moisture northeast into antecedent cold air that was delivered last night into today.

This will cause snow to break out during the pre-dawn hours of Saturday morning and spread northeast, but impact mostly northwest CT, WMass, SVT and SWNH into northern CMass.

Snow will then spread east through the rest of CMass and northeast CT as well.

A widespread 2-5″ is now expected across the region, with more like 1-3″ in northeast CT and southern CMass, and potentially 4-8″ in far northeast Berkshire County into western Franklin County north into the southern Green Mountains of SVT by Saturday night.

Snow could be come heavy at times tomorrow, especially west of the I-91 corridor in the late morning to afternoon.

I will update again early in the morning, have a great night!
