Winter Weather Alert

COLD WEATHER ADVISORIES HAVE BEEN HOISTED FOR THE ENTIRE GREATER WMASS REGION FOR ONE MORE VERY COLD NIGHT AS ARCTIC AIR IS READY TO LIFT NORTHEAST AND OUT OF OUR REGION THIS WEEK

Good afternoon everybody, I just made a big bowl of tzatziki and about 50 keftas for the Super Bowl – an odd football food choice to be sure, but every time I make ’em, the folks who pop one (or three) in their mouth love ’em, so the Nut’s shakin’ it up over here.

I did want to pop in here to let you know that our wind gusts will continue this evening and overnight, though should generally be no higher than about 25mph.

Still, with lows expected to drop to either side of 0º and said gusts, wind chills will drop to between -5º and -20º at times, hence the Cold Weather Advisory activation.

We’ll see winds continue to lessen on Monday as high pressure pushes east, and highs will rise into the upper teens to mid 20s under sunny skies.

We still have a chance for snow showers late Tuesday and Tuesday night, but I will update you tomorrow morning with a full report and a 7:30am update with the uber talented Steve Sanderson on WRSI 93.9FM The River.

Have a great night!
