LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW DEVELOPS THIS EVENING AND INTO THE PRE-DAWN HOURS OF MONDAY MORNING...

Good afternoon everybody, just a quick update to say that I’m still expecting to light to moderate snow to develop in a more widespread fashion this evening. I am gonna pull totals down by an inch across the board given some observations, so 1-4″ should cover most of us in the greater WMass region in SVT, SWNH, WMass, northern CMass, and Litchfield & Hartford Counties in CT, with more like 3-6″ in far eastern Hampden County, southern CMass and northeast CT.

The main time for light to moderate snow will be after 6pm into the pre-dawn hours with some scattered snow showers early to mid Monday morning before our storm pulls away.

I am a little concerned that the surface low pressure will pass further southeast of our region which could lead to lower snow totals, but the upper jet stream lift is helping create taller cloud tops as evidence in the infrared satellite image attached, so the above totals feel reasonable to me.

Have a great rest of your weekend, Dave.
