WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES HAVE BEEN HOISTED FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW AND ICE IN WMASS, CMASS AND SVT FOR WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING...

Good afternoon everybody, Winter Weather Advisories are now up for WMass, CMass and SVT, and may eventually be posted for SWNH and possibly northern Litchfield County CT. Otherwise, the Advisories look spot on in terms of accumulating snow on the way along and north of a line from about Pittsfield to Worcester on north (roughly the MassPike) with 2-5″ in that zone.

The southern Berkshires, Hampden County, and southernmost CMass are more likely to see a coating to 2″, maybe as much as 3″ in a few spots, with an inch or less in northern CT where this storm wil produce mostly rain and sleet, with some brief snow/sleet at the end on Wednesday night before the storm quits.

It’s not a blockbuster, but the plows will probably be needed along and north of the Rt. 9 corridor in MA, up into northern MA, SVT and SWNH. Some folks may reach half a foot in the southern Greens.

I’ll post more later, have a great afternoon!
