PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW HAVE DEVELOPED... UPPER LOW SWINGS EAST THROUGH THE REGION TODAY, AND EXITS TONIGHT... PERIODS OF SNOW QUIT BEFORE MIDNIGHT...
Good mid-day to everybody, we’ve seen light to moderate accumulating snow develop as expected this late morning to early afternoon, which is slowly adding to our snowpack from overnight and re-coating roads, sidewalks, driveways and our paths.
Temperatures are only in the teens, so travel will become slippery in spots, though nothing like yesterday. Still, be careful when you’re out and about today and this evening.
With time, the light to moderate snow will shift more to the north and east (and dry out in southwest areas like the southern Berkshires, northwest CT, the southern Pioneer Valley from Hamp to Hartford, etc.), with continuing impacts to areas along and north of Rt. 2 in MA, SVT and SWNH, as well areas mainly well east of I-91 in CMass, far eastern parts of WMass, and northeast CT by this evening before all winds down before midnight.
Again a coating to 3″ is expected anywhere, and we may even see a few 3″+ amounts in parts of CMass.
After this evening, we get a break from the snow for a while, but not the cold. I will update again late this afternoon or early evening, have a great rest of your day, Dave.
