Good morning everybody, our cold late-March Monday rolls on with temps currently in the 30s and not expected to rise past where they are, save for a degree or two.

QUICK SETUP
Surface low pressure will continue to pull east of Cape Cod, but its mid-level low center will hang near the Cape and help cause a fleeting area of converging air to form back into eastern Hampden County, southern CMass and northeast CT by mid-afternoon.

LIGHT IMPACTS
This will result in an areas of light snow forming in those areas (with little to none north and west of those areas), the way it looks now.

Given this, some elevation-dependent coatings are possible east of the I-91 corridor, and perhaps back into western Hampden County.

As we move into the late afternoon and early evening, the whole complex pulls east and away, with wraparound convective snow shower bands forming and tracking north-northwest to south-southeast in parts of the greater WMass region, ending by midnight.

Not everyone will see snow as these snow showers will be hit or miss, but folks who are under some of these snow bands may get some heavier bursts, resulting in a coating to an inch or so, again especially on grassy surfaces in elevated locations.

Given that we’ll see this activity end and be followed by lows in the mid to upper 20s, some patchy black ice will form by early tomorrow morning where precipitation setup during the course of today and tonight.
