Good evening folks, what a super sweet day that was! Lucky us! We do have a few showers diving towards the central and southern Berkshires and a few may survive into the lower Pioneer Valley or northwest CT this early evening before drying up. Gusts will continue out of the west up to 20mph overnight lows in the 50s. This weekend looks to feature plenty of fair weather, though I do expect some isolated showers possible a garden variety thunderstorm Saturday afternoon, with the best chance for that in SVT, SWNH and northern parts of central MA.

Highs Saturday will reach the 70s like today with a few 80º readings, and Sunday should be a couple of degrees warmer than Saturday, with lows in the 50s both nights. Sunday could also feature an isolated shower or t-storm in the afternoon.

By Monday morning, I am continuing to see a trend for a soaking rainfall that could drop anywhere from 0.75” up to as much as 2” of rainfall by Tuesday at noon.

As an upper trough swings east from the Great Lakes, a surface low will be spawned in the Ohio Valley and track eastward through southern New England, spreading stratiform rains across our hills and dales starting sometime around noon or early/mid-afternoon Monday, and lasting through the night, ending sometime on Tuesday morning.

Here’s hoping we get that rainfall, because we sure need it with many areas in drought. It’ll be time to cut the lawn by mid-week for this writer!

Have a great night!
