Weather Nut Update

STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE TUESDAY AFTERNOON BETWEEN 2-8PM...
Good evening everybody, as of about 6pm we’ve really cleared out and seen out skies turn partly to mostly sunny in many areas, which has allowed some showers and an isolated t-storm or two to pop in NY state.
These are now pressing east-southeast toward the central and southern Berkshires, and some brief downpours of a rumble of thunder will be possible before this activity weakens after sunset.
Winds have only reached the 20-35mph as of the 6pm hour, with one or two 40mph gusts noted.
Lows tonight will dip into the low to mid 50s, and then we’re off to the races tomorrow with highs expected to reach the low 70s to low 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies into the early afternoon.
A wave will be diving east-southeast and act on low level moisture and very warm temps for this time of year, which should help spawn clusters of showers, downpours and thunderstorms.
If all the elements align, we could see a couple of these thunderstorms become strong to severe with strong gusty winds possible along with small hail.
The timeframe to watch for is the 2pm-8pm window, and I will update you again first thing tomorrow morning.
Have a great night!
