WINTRY CONDITIONS THRU WEDNESDAY MORNING... SPRING PATTERN CHANGE ON THE WAY...
Good afternoon everybody, low pressure is positioned over Cape Cod and pulling east and away, which will help snow showers, flurries, and any precip type to abate by this evening for most of us with some high terrain stragglers leftover.
High pressure is already pushing into the Ohio Valley, and it’s been the pressure gradient between it and the aforementioned low center that has caused northwest winds to gust 25-40mph today.
Winds will abate tonight as high pressure starts pushing overhead, which will allow skies to clear more, and cause temps to drop into the teens to 20s, which means any high terrain areas that saw accumulations of 1-3″ earlier (and some around 4″ or so) may hold on to some ground moisture or areas of new snow that will cause black ice and slippery surfaces overnight.
Tomorrow morning will be cold like a late winter day, so bundle up. Sunshine will develop for our Wednesday with highs reaching the 40s to low 50s, followed by lows in the 20s.
Once we reach late week into the weekend, an early Spring pattern will develop with sunshine, highs in the 50s and 60s, and fair weather for days, aside from perhaps a few Friday night showers.
Have a great night and thanks for all of the reports!
