ISOLATED SHOWERS / STORMS END THIS EVE… RAIN BEGINS AROUND MID-DAY TOMORROW… POTENTIAL IS FOR HEAVIEST TO SLIDE UP TO NORTHERN MA INTO SVT AND SWNH… REGARDLESS, RAINY MONDAY PM
Good afternoon folks, it’s been a partly to mostly sunny day so far though we have downpours and a thunderstorm tracking into southwest VT, and have had a few showers in the far southern Berkshires into northwest CT. This activity will die out this evening, and make way for an actual rainstorm moving for Monday afternoon.
After any showers, or brief downpours/storms tracks into the region late this afternoon, they will dry up with loss of daytime surface heating, and lows will fall into the upper 40s to mid 50s with some patchy fog possible late.
Any fog burns off Monday morning as clouds build overhead and skies become overcast with our next incoming storm system.
I think we’re going to see substantial rainfall everywhere in the greater WMass region, but maximal soakage may be pushing more north into northwest MA into SVT and parts of SWNH if the storm track trend continues to be a bit more north. Interestingly, this could introduce a chance for a couple of strong thunderstorms on the southerly side of the low pressure system.
Rain starts by early to mid afternoon Monday, and quits on Tuesday morning, I will update again tomorrow morning, have a great evening, Dave.
