Good afternoon folks, I will post a larger update this early evening before sunset regarding our Memorial Monday update, but I wanted to poke my head in here to say that our main area of showers is now pushing into and through the Berkshires with reduced activity as expected for late afternoon and into the early pre-dawn hours.

To be sure, it’s going to remain quite damp with mist, drizzle, and some lighter showers at times with highs peaking out in the upper 40s to mid 50s.

Rain totals thus far have been about a third of an inch up to an inch and a third, with more (as expected in southern areas like far southwest MA and especially into the northwest half of CT.

Wind gusts have been mostly under 20mph and about non-existent in the valley, but downsloping areas (i.e areas west of mountain ranges during easterly-flow events like today’s) such as the northern Berkshires and southwest VT have seen gusts of 20-35mph.

As scattered, patchy lighter activity continues tonight, lows will hang in the 45-50º range as more showers approach the region by early Monday morning.

Humidity will increase, and some showers may be on the heavier side tomorrow morning (see attached graphic), with rain finally quitting by early afternoon as temps come up into the upper 60s to mid 70s with humidity increasing as well as some sunny breaks form.

I will post again this evening, so enjoy the rest of your afternoon, now back to soup and stew simmerin’!
