Weather Nut Update

LATE MORNING 11:30AM UPDATE...

Good morning everybody, the main shield of rain has passed out of the region with a dry slot punching through but there is plenty of low level moisture to light rain or drizzle continues to fall in many areas. Southerly gusts have ranged from 30mph-55mph through the region, with the valley seeing lower amounts of wind.

The cold front is on its way to pass through around mid-afternoon, and another final line of showers, downpours and wind will sweep through this mid-day into early afternoon and that may mix with or end as snow in the Berkshires.

With temps coming up into the mid to upper 50s, gusts that have recently pushed over 50mph in southern and central CT will probably come north and affect at least some areas in WMass and CMass before and as the front moves through.

Behind it, some partial cloud-deck breaks may move overhead for late in the day, but scattered snow or rain showers and even a squall will be accompanying westerly wind gusts, with more active weather tonight.

I will update later this afternoon… changeable conditions incoming…
