Weather Nut Update

HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS POSSIBLE THIS LATE MORNING INTO EARLY AFTERNOON FOR FAR NORTHERN MA INTO SVT/SWNH...

Good morning folks, just a quick post to say that we have milder temps working up and into our region this morning with cold air aloft, which will steepen lapse rates (i.e. a quicker change from milder surface temp to colder temps aloft as you go up in altitude) which allows wind to mix down and moist air to rise, form clouds, and in this case some snow showers.

The central and northern Berkshires at 10:30am are looking at a potential isolated snow squall if it holds together, so that could drop a fresh coating, and additional scattered snow showers will be possible as southwest flow continues into the region out of NY state, mostly in northwest MA (Berkshire, Franklin, Worcester counties) and SVT/SWNH.

I will provide a full update tonight, thank you, Dave.
