Good afternoon folks, the visible satellite is filling up with clouds to our west and southwest as instability increases thanks to our warm frontal passage which brought increased humidity and surface heating. We already have a strong thunderstorm in northern Windham County VT, and another downpour has formed over Tolland, MA in Hampden County.

In addition, showers and thunderstorms are forming to the southwest of the greater WMass region and these will continue to bubble up and track northeast into our region after 4pm.

Downpours are expected for some, and street flooding may become localized. In addition, one or two cells may form into strong to severe thunderstorms capable of localized wind damage, larger hail, and there remains a very low chance for a quick spin up.

The best chance for severe weather continues to be west of the I-91 corridor in the high terrain, but the valley is not immune to strong cells this later afternoon.

In addition, the stronger activity with the actual cold front after sunset may be relegated more into northwest MA and SVT, but I will monitor.
