SUNNY SUNDAY START, CLOUDY FINISH, LIGHT SCATTERED SHOWERS MOSTLY AFTER SUNSET INTO MONDAY MORNING… LOWER RAIN TOTALS EXPECTED… HUMID MONDAY AFTERNOON WITH A T-STORM BY EVENING

Good morning folks, we’ve got a beautiful start to our SunDay which may be enough to encourage some of you to go out and get a SunDae on this mostly fine SummahDay, but the clouds will start to build into the region during the afternoon and evening, which will signal impending scattered overnight light to moderate showers that will last through Monday morning, with likely lighter totals than previously thought.

For today, highs will reach the low 70s to low 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies that will give way to more clouds by the middle to later afternoon as a warm front approaches the region.

This warm front will be extended off of low pressure tracking well north of us, and will also help induce secondary low pressure to develop down by the Mid-Atlantic region.

Both systems later tonight into Monday will track east each with their own moisture and energy, which sort of puts the greater WMass region in the middle of the two systems.

This should produce the effect of less rainfall for our region, somewhere in the neighborhood of a tenth of inch up to a third of inch or so by Monday evening.

I expect scattered light to moderate showers to arrive sometime between 6-10pm, with the post-10pm timeframe being most likely when a steadier flow of scattered showers will work through the region overnight into Monday morning.

Before 10pm, activity *should* be lighter or more isolated. Lows tonight will drop into the 60s, and showers on Monday morning should abate before noon.

Monday will end up being mostly cloudy with a few sunny periods possible, and humidity spiking into the mid 60s to low 70s, with highs air temps well into the 70s, so a soupy afternoon and evening is expected.

A cold front will push through during the first half of the night, which may bring some isolated showers or thunderstorms. After that, skies should clear overnight with lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s as humidity starts to decrease into Tuesday morning.

Tuesday and Wednesday look lovely with warm highs in the mid 70s to mid 80s both days under mostly sunny skies, with a few Tuesday morning light showers not out of the question. Lows will bottom out into the mid 50s to low 60s for both nights.

In other words, you should come out to see me and my talented friends play in Transformance 36 at the Pines Theatre in Look Park, Florence, MA 4:30-9:30pm to help supports arts programs in Hamp public schools! #Hint #Hint

By late week a few showers are possible Thursday, followed by drier and much lower humidity for Friday into the first part of Saturday with highs in the 70s to near 80º as zonal flow continues to suppress heat well to our south, keeping us in a seasonable summer regime.

Have a great day!
