SEESAW WEATHER THROUGH NEXT WEEK…GORGEOUS & DRY TODAY, SHOWERY & HUMID SUNDAY, DRIER AND SUNNY EARLY WEEK, WARMER AND MORE HUMID WED. & THURS. WITH SHOWERS & A COLD FRONT BY FRIDAY

Good morning peeps of The Golden West, we have high pressure directly overhead which has produced a chilly morning with some folks dipping to 40º for lows north of Rt. 2 in SVT & SWNH, and after a sunny, lovely Saturday, we’ll cloud up overnight with Sunday morning showers expected, and some are likely to heavy south of the Pike before clearing east by early Sunday afternoon, which looks quite humid.

Highs today will rise firmly into the 70s across the greater WMass region under sunny skies, with some clouds increasing this evening as high pressure scoots east off of the coastline.

As a result, milder and moister southerly flow will develop, helping to keep lows around the upper 50s to low 60s, which is some ten to fifteen degrees milder than this morning.

In addition, clouds will thicken and showers will first arrive in SVT and far northwest MA, and then fill in through the rest of the region towards dawn and early morning on Sunday.

Sunday morning looks wet, with some heavier showers more likely along and south of the Pike in southern portions of WMass and CMass down into northern CT. Showers should last into the early afternoon and then clear to our east, leading to a more rain-free mid to late afternoon, but one with very humid air remaining.

Highs Sunday will reach the 70s once again, and lows will drop into the 50s as a cold front moves through the region overnight Sunday into Monday, bringing a few more scattered showers as it does so.

High pressure will push in from our west behind this front promoting northwest flow, which will cool us down and produce a pair of dry and sunny days to start our work week with highs only in the mid 60s to low 70s each day followed by lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s Monday night, and the upper 40s to low 50s Tuesday night.

High pressure will again kick east off of the eastern seaboard, and promote another round of southerly flow, which will start to increase our temps by Wednesday up and into the mid to upper 70s, followed by highs pushing into the upper 70s to mid 80s by Thursday before another cold front swings through with a few showers, with lagging warm temps in the 70s on Friday, with cooler temps most likely by next Saturday before one more possible warm surge to end next weekend.

After that, we may be heading into a deeper step-down in temperatures and humidity as we head towards the Autumnal Equinox which arrives on Tuesday, September 22, at 8:04 PM.

Have a great day!
