OUR GORGEOUS WEEKEND HAS ARRIVED! HEAT AND HUMIDITY INCREASES BY NEXT TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WHEN HEAT ADVISORIES MAY BE NEEDED… RAIN-FREE AND SUNNY INTO MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK…

Good morning folks, we have high pressure building in from the northwest this weekend with a light northwest flow, which is a drying direction for us, so humidity is going to be tolerable this weekend, hooray! We also will enjoy plenty of sunshine and more temperate temps with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s and lows in the 50s at night with mostly clear skies, though some fog is possible by early Monday morning.

Moving into next week, high pressure continues to dominate but will track through New England and to our south, setting us up for a heat and humidity surge moving into the middle of the week.

Monday looks a bit warmer than the weekend, with highs well into the 80s, with mid to upper 80s along the Pioneer Valley floor with lows in the low to mid 60s by Monday night.

Once we reach Tuesday and Wednesday, if trends continue, we’d likely see the NWS issue Heat Advisories for at least the Pioneer Valley of WMass down into northern CT into southern CMass, but it may expand into a few higher terrain areas as well, so I will keep you updated on that piece.

High temps are likely to rise into the mid 80s to mid 90s with dewpoint temps well into the 60s during this period.

By Wednesday night or Thursday morning we *may* see a few showers as a front is expected to step temps back to more seasonable levels (in the 80s) for the late-week period with fair weather expected.

We’re in the middle of summer conditions now, so enjoy this lovely weekend that Mother Nature has bestowed upon us!

Have a great day!
