LOVELY WEEKEND WITH SUNSHINE, WARMER AND BREEZIER ON SUNDAY… RAIN WITH DOWNPOURS, THUNDER AND WIND DURING NONDAY MORNING INTO AFTERNOON BEFORE WANING…
Good morning folks, we have a gorgeous weekend ahead, supportive of all outdoor plans with which you’ll be involved. And temperatures will be warming through the weekend, so it’ll be a sweet hug of warmth as we continue to head deeper into Autumn with November less than 2 weeks away.
For today, high pressure crests overhead and produces mostly sunny skies, calmer winds, and milder temps which will rise into the upper 50s to mid 60s. Lows will dip into the low to mid 40s with patchy fog possible late.
By Sunday, our upper ridge will be tracking east of us, and with high-pressure south, southerly flow will help develop warmer highs into the mid 60s to low 70s along with wind gusts of 15-25mph at times, along with increasing clouds in the afternoon and evening as mild lows sit down into the low to mid 50s.
As a frontal boundary pushes east and a low pressure system develops along the front, set to track into northern New England, scattered showers will develop either side of midnight and increase by early morning.
As the brunt of the front heads into the greater WMass region, southeasterly gusts may spike ahead of its arrival, gusting potentially as high as 30-50mph, which may cause some isolated power outages, given that trees aren’t braced against SE wind gusts as well in southern New England given this less-common wind direction in these parts.
In addition, showers will increase, and we should see some downpours and gusty thunderstorms as well as the front sweeps through the region, with less activity by later Monday afternoon and evening.
Highs Monday reach the low to mid 60s with a few showers early Monday evening followed by lows in the low to mid 40s.
Tuesday will feature a lull between systems with partly sunny skies expected and highs reaching the low to mid 60s, with lows in the 40s as clouds increase once again ahead of a secondary mid-level system.
This will push more periods of showers into the region on Wednesday, but intensity looks to be less than the Monday system. Still, a wet mid-week period is expected with highs climbing to either side of 60º.
By late week we should cool down into the mid to upper 50s for highs with lows either side of 40º as we get another break from wet weather events for the time being.
I hope you get to spend time with friends or loved ones today!
