FAIR WEATHER INTO MID-WEEK EXCEPT FOR SOME SNOW SHOWERS SUNDAY MORNING WITH COATINGS POSSIBLE…
Good morning folks, I hope you had a lovely New Year’s Day and Night, however you celebrated, or rested, or worked, or whatever you did, I hope at least one thing that you enjoyed or made you laugh happened.
I was thinking on my morning walk the other day how the Universe is mostly cold and dark, but we got to live in a very small area of light that enabled us to experience warmth, love, joy, happiness, and comfort, even if those things were fleetingly small in comparison to the tough parts of life we all go through. It just restates the importance of the teachings in Ram Dass’s book “Be Here Now”.
As for our weather, there’s not much to talk about, as we’ve worked our way into a tranquil period of weather. While we’ll see some Sunday morning snow showers with coatings in parts of the region under an expected patchy snow shield, mostly it will just be cold and dry today / Friday through Monday with highs in the 20s and lows in the upper singles to low teens.
For Monday night, we’ll cloud up and see some snow showers push through on the nose of a warm front, which will bring milder temps and highs in the 30s on Tuesday, and possibly the low 40s into Wednesday when another system may bring some mixed precipitation.
I will flesh out the details as we get closer, and I will likely not post a morning report tomorrow as I need some rest, but will update sometime tomorrow regarding our overnight snow shower potential.
I hope you have a great day!
YOUR NUTSHELL:
–High pressure slowly builds in as an upper trough slowly lifts east and away
–This brings more tranquil weather conditions through about the middle of next week when our next storm chance lies
–More clouds than Sun in the western high terrain, otherwise partly to mostly sunny skies develop in the CT River Valley in VT, MA and CT points east
–Cold highs in the 20s, lows in the upper single and teens, lighter winds
–A cold front moves through late Saturday night into early Sunday morning, bringing some snow showers, with coatings for some
–Monday night brings a few more snow showers with a warm front
–Milder temps for Tuesday into middle of the week with mixed precip possible by Wednesday
