WARMING INTO FRIDAY THEN COOLING THIS WEEKEND, AND EVEN COOLER THRU EARLY NEXT WEEK, FIRST FROST POSSIBLE TUESDAY MORNING… A COUPLE OF LIGHTER SHOWER PERIODS FRI. & SUN. EVENING...

Good morning folks, there’s not much to report in the weather department other than a warmth and humidity spike for tomorrow / Friday with dewpoints in the 60s and high temps around 80º for some, followed by cooling this weekend and the passage of two cold fronts, the second of which may help support lows late Monday night down into the 30s (upper 20s for SVT?) and our first frost of 2026.

For today, we’re mostly cloudy with a sprinkle or light shower around, but should be mostly dry with highs either side of 70º, followed by mild lows in the low to mid 60s as southerly flow pushes moisture and warmth into southern New England from the south, thanks to high pressure down that way.

For Friday, we should see more in the way of partly sunny skies. Depending how much sunshine we can develop before the cold front moves through in the evening, some of us could hit 80º or so in the Pioneer Valley floor – a fleeting summer taste.

Clouds will thicken towards afternoon with some lighter showers expected as the front approaches the region.

While the front won’t bring much rainfall, it will deliver a much drier air to our region over the weekend and hence mostly sunny skies with cooler highs in the 60s both days with lows in the low to mid 40s.

A second cold front will push into the region Sunday evening with a few more showers, so Saturday looks brighter overall.

Once we reach early to middle of next week, we’re cooling down even more, though the coolest air will lag the front for Monday, resulting in highs in the 60s that day.

However, by evening and overnight, temps should plunge deep into the 30s for lows and our first Frost Advisories may end up being hoisted by the NWS if that trend continues.

Beyond that, Tuesday and Wednesday look autumnal, with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s, so enjoy this late-week / late-season warmth, it’s fleeting!

One more report tomorrow morning and then I’m stepping away from reporting until a week from this Sunday.

Have a great day!
