LATE SUMMER HEAT ON THE WAY FOR LATE-WEEK… THEN 2 COLD FRONTS AND COOL SHOTS WITH A FEW SHOWERS FRIDAY AND MONDAY, FOLLOWED BY FIRST FROST POTENTIAL TUESDAY…
Good morning folks, we’ve got plenty of fair weather ahead best I can tell, and while I’m here, I am going to start to mention over the next few days that after almost 14 years of daily reporting save for several fair weather days a year, I am going to be taking a week-long break starting this weekend. As for our weather, we’re warming the rest of this week, peaking Friday with some folks hitting 80º with a chance at first frost by this coming Tuesday night!
For our Wednesday through Friday, it’s warming temps with slowly-increasing humidity, peaking on Friday.
Partly sunny skies should transition into mostly sunny skies today through late week with highs in the mid 60s to low 70s today, upper 60s to mid 70s Thursday, and mid 70s to low 80s on Friday!
With dewpoints climbing into the mid to upper 60s we could see heat index pushing into the mid to even upper 80s on Friday for one day before takes a bigger bite into us with not one but two cold-frontal passages Friday evening and again Sunday night into Monday.
Scattered showers will move through Friday night, and deliver us into a sunnier Saturday with cooler highs in the 60s with some northwest breezes.
By Sunday, we’re even cooler with highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s before ANOTHER front swings through at night with some more showers.
By Monday and Tuesday, that means we cool down further! With highs on Monday similar to Sunday, Tuesday and Tuesday night represent the deepest push into Autumn conditions yet, with highs in the upper 40s to mid 50s with lows well into the 30s, with some areas approaching the freezing mark.
This means that the potential for our first frost of Autumn 2026 is now on my radar for Tuesday night, so green-thumb folks, gardners, and farmers take note.
Have a great day!
