BEAUTIFUL THURSDAY FOLLOWED BY SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDER RUMBLES AFTER MIDNIGHT WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FRIDAY AFTERNOON, ONE OR TWO OF WHICH MAY BE STRONG/SEVERE

Good morning folks, we’ve got another lovely day ahead for our Thursday, but early brightness due to yellow-white sky orb activity will give way to clusters of variously-grayed vapor blobs that will build late today and fill in overnight ahead of an incoming warm front with potential for thunder overnight, and even a strong to severe storm by Friday afternoon, so let’s jump in.

For today, highs will reach the mid 70s to low 80s, though SVT will be a bit cooler in the low to mid 70s with a light southwest wind. Early-day sunshine will start to be dotted by increasing cloud development, especially later in the day into the early part of tonight.

We should be mostly dry before midnight, but afterwards all bets are off as the front moves closer and helps to focus areas of showers, with some embedded thunder as well during the pre-dawn hours of Friday morning. Lows will drop into the mid to upper 50s with some patchy fog possible late.

A few showers may linger into the early to mid-morning of Friday, especially along and east of the I-91 corridor but we should brighten into mid-day, and develop partly sunny skies with highs reaching again into the mid 70s to low 80s.

Behind the front southerly flow will increase our dewpoints into the 60s, creating a humid feel ahead of an incoming cold front that will possess plenty of wind shear that will act on increasing instability in our region.

This should be enough to pop some isolated to scattered showers, downpours and thunderstorms by mid-afternoon on Friday, some of which could become strong to severe with gusty straight-line winds and torrential rainfall. Small hail is also possible.

This activity should vamoose to the east by early evening with a quieter Friday night on the way with lows in the mid to upper 50s.

A secondary wave may generate a few Saturday morning showers, but I think it will stay mostly south of us, but I will update you as we get closer.

Otherwise, by Saturday afternoon we should be drying out with highs well into the 70s and lows in the 50s.

The Sunday to Tuesday timeframe features mostly sunny skies and increasing temperatures through that stretch with highs in the mid 70s to mid 80s Sunday, the upper 70s to upper 80s Monday, and the mid 80s to low 90s Tuesday before another front may bring some more showers by mid-week.

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
