GET OUT AND SOAK UP THE WARMTH TODAY FOLKS ,AS LATE-WINTER REALITY IS SET TO RETURN… INTERMITTENT SHOWERS AND MILD WEDNESDAY, SOUTHERLY BREEZES LATE… STEADIER RAIN WED. NIGHT...

Good morning everybody, if you’re a Spring lovah, you best get your bod outside today to soak up this sweet, Spring-y warmth, as temps are gonna spike into the 60s to low/mid 70s for highs for most of us (SVT into the mountain areas of northwest MA may hang in the upper 50s to low 60s). This is a one-day-only type sale, and after this Winter I think everybody will be buying, so get outside if you can.

For tonight, we’ll have a light southerly wind as lows drop into the low to mid 40s with increasing clouds ahead of some pre-frontal Wednesday scattered showers coming from the west that will be amped a bit by a backdoor cold front’s attempt to press southwest into the greater WMass region, the collision of which may spark a rumble of thunder or two tomorrow.

Highs will still be quite mild, reaching the upper 50s to low 60s, but we’ll be mostly cloudy with periods of scattered showers mixed with dry/cloudy times.

Later in the day and into the evening as the cold front approaching from our west moves closer, southerly gusts will increasing, gusting up to 25mph or so by Wednesday night as showers become steadier. Lows will drop to the low 40s.

Rain overnight with some snow mixing in over the high terrain by early Thursday morning will continue into the cold front swings east and through the region, which should happen early in the morning.

Temps may come up into the mid 40s to low 50s before the cold air really starts to set in, and when that happens, you’ll know as westerly winds behind the front will gust 25-40mph at times with temps dropping during the day from their morning highs.

Some sunshine will develop on Thursday, and then temps will crash into the low to mid 20s by late Thursday night.

Friday looks sunny early with highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s with less wind, but a Clipper system will be set to track east through northern and central New England Friday night into Saturday.

This will push scattered areas of rain showers with some snow mix Friday night into early Saturday morning. Friday night lows will drop into the upper 20s to low 30s, and highs Saturday will reach the upper 30s to mid 40s with increasing sunshine and lovely finish to the day. Lows drop to near 30º.

On Sunday, we’ll cloud back up as ANOTHER frontal boundary approaches from the west, draped southward form a potent low passing well north of us.

This will bring more rainfall Sunday afternoon with highs reaching the mid to upper 40s, followed by a rainy night for Sunday night into part of Monday when highs will rise into the 50s, prior to cooler and more seasonable conditions returning for much of the rest of next week.

Have a great day and get outside, peeps!
