DRY THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING DESPITE A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS POSSIBLE TODAY AND TUESDAY… BREEZY THIS AFTERNOON… PATCHY FOG NEXT COUPLE OF MORNINGS… SHOWERS BY LATE WEEK...
Good morning folks, we’ve got some patchy fog out there to start our Monday morning and the same will probably be the case again late tonight into early Tuesday morning. Despite the chance for some isolated showers today and tomorrow, we are entering a drier period through mid-day Thursday, so let’s jump in.
For today, fog will burn off and reveal a partly sunny on average with some clouds at times and a couple of isolated showers or a t-storm possible. Southwest winds will gust up to 25mph at times as a newer air mass moves into town, and highs will hang in the upper 60s to upper 70s from high terrain to the valley.
Any showers dissipate tonight with lows in the low to mid 50s with patchy fog probably forming in spots again like this morning.
Morning fog will burn off on Tuesday, which will be followed weather-wise during the day and night by a similar set of conditions like our Monday – in other words, as the Grateful Dead sang in their one radio hit back in 1987, we will get by, and we will survive!
By Wednesday, any lingering instability will be swept eastward by incoming high pressure which will reveal a gorgeous, mostly sunny day with highs in the 70s to 80º, light wind, and lows in the 55-60º range.
Thursday appears to be a transition day as high pressure keeps trucking and makes way for incoming low pressure from the Great Lakes. The morning should be dry, but clouds will be on the increase, and some showers are expected in the afternoon or evening, lasting overnight into Friday morning.
Highs will reach the low 70s to low 80s for both late-week days, and a south wind looks to pick up ahead of a front Thursday, with gusts up to 20mph at times.
Any rain on Friday should abate by afternoon, and then we’ll look toward our incoming weekend, hopefully whilst donning big smiles as it seems right now that high pressure will return and produce sunny skies, warm highs in the low 70s to low 80s and clear nights, so here’s hoping!
I will likely not be posting the next couple of mornings due to fair weather but will poke my head in here if conditions warrant.
Enjoy the increasingly nice weather this week and have a great day!
