SNOW SHOWERS END THIS MORNING FOLLOWED BY A VERY COLD NIGHT… MORE MONDAY AFTERNON AND EVENING SNOW, LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS… MIX TO RAIN TUESDAY NIGHT, FOLLOWED BY MILDER TEMPS WED...

Good morning folks, we’ve got a pretty morning out there with light snow coming to an end after providing some dustings/coatings. Let me know what you’ve seen this morning.

After this light affair ends by mid morning or so, we’ll dry out but remain mostly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 20s, which will then fall way down into the single digits overnight, possibly even below zero in southern VT!

For Monday, any morning partial sunshine will quickly give way to cloudy skies as our next system moves in, this time along a warm front that will lift northeast into New England.

Light to moderate snow will break out in the afternoon and should have a bit more oomph than this morning’s event, so a coating to 2” is possible into Monday night. Highs will reach the mid 20s on Monday, with lows in the teens.

By Tuesday, snow will over, but we won’t get much in the way of sunshine as yet another frontal boundary will be pushing our way, this time draped off a storm to our northwest.

This will put us on the mild side of the storm, and with high temps in the low to mid 30s falling back into the upper 20s before precip moves into the region, we’ll see freezing rain break out across the region Tuesday night, which will cause some slick travel.

Temps will continue to rise overnight, and should change to plain rain by Wednesday morning before the system moves away from our region.

Wednesday and Thursday both look quite mild with highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s with Thursday being the pick of the week as full sunshine develops.

By Friday, however, yet another system will be passing to our northwest as the storm track keeps us on the mild side through the weekend.

Showers redevelop on Friday, and a more substantial rainstorm looks possible for Saturday into Saturday night as a potent low center tracks northeast up the St. Lawrence River Valley in southeast Canada.

This will pull in colder air and strong gusty winds for Sunday along with a blustery end to the weekend and the potential for lake effect snow showers.

I hope you have a great day!
