A FEW SNOW SHOWERS TONIGHT FOLLOWED BY RAIN SHOWERS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT… MILDER THIS WEEKEND WITH MORE RAIN BY SUNDAY EVENING INTO MONDAY MORNING, POSSIBLE MIX WITH SNOW...

Good morning folks, we’ll remain dry through the day with a mix of sun and clouds, lighter winds and highs in the mid 30s to low 40s, so still a bit unseasonably cool, but manageable.

Clouds will increase tonight and we’ll see a few snow showers or flurries dot the landscape as a weak warm front pushes through the region with lows in the mid to upper 20s.

For Friday, we’ll be situated between fronts with another one diving southeast into our region. Ahead of it, south-southwest winds will gust 20-35mph as the front approaches during the mid day to afternoon period. Highs will reach the mid 40s to mid 50s.

Initial showers will arrive between 2-5pm from northwest to southeast, and then we should see a fairly rainy Friday night with some heavier showers mixed in. Lows will hang in the 35-40º range, and rain may linger into early Saturday morning.

It looks like a quarter to half inch of rainfall should do it for most of us, with a bit more squeezed out over the Berkshires, southern Greens and western hilltowns due to orographic effects.

Saturday should dry out towards mid-day with milder highs in the upper 40s to upper 50s, with some mid 40s in far northwest MA up into SVT. Lows will dip into the upper 20s to mid 30s under mostly cloudy skies.

On Sunday, any partly sunny skies in the morning should give way to more clouds by afternoon as yet another weaker system dives southeast towards out of the eastern Great Lakes.

Highs will be quite mild, potentially spiking into the mid 50s to low 60s during the day with more showers arriving with a cold front by Sunday evening through Sunday overnight and potentially lasting through Monday morning.

We may also see a change to snow in far northwest MA and SVT/SWNH by early Monday morning as colder air works into the region.

The first half of next week then follows with colder air, and fair conditions with highs in the mid 30s to mid 40s, and lows in the 20s for the most part, with some upper teens in northern MA, SVT and SWNH.

As the Mary Tyler Moore theme sang out in the end, we’re gonna make it after all!

Have a great day!
