INCREASING SUNSHINE AND TEMPS THROUGH FRIDAY WHEN A COLD FRONT BRINGS A FEW SHOWERS AND COOLS THE WEEKEND… LOW CHANCE OF MORE RAIN ACTIVITY BY SUNDAY AFTERNOON…

Good morning folks, our multi-day nor’easter and rainstorm is behind us after leaving 1-4” of rain across the region for most locations with a bit less in far western areas, and a bit more in far eastern areas. Now what? We dry out today with increasing sunshine and decreasing cloudiness followed by warming temps through the rest of the week before some potentially unsettled weather on Friday and/or Sunday.

For our Tuesday, temps will rise into the 60s with increasing sunshine during the day as drier and light northwest flow sets up shop across our region. Lows will drop into the 45-50º range.

After that, we’re warming Wednesday through Friday with high pressure building to our south, which will produce a west and then southwest flow in our region. This will produce abundant sunshine with highs in the mid 60s to low 70s Wednesday, mid to upper 70s Thursday, and the low 70s to low 80s by Friday before a cold front pushes some showers into the region Friday afternoon and evening.
|
Lows temps will be mainly in the 50s during this period, so Thursday night lows may hang in the low 60s in the Pioneer Valley floor.

After Friday PM showers, Saturday looks like our weekend pick with highs in the 60s under sunny skies. After that, we may have another system bring some rainfall into the region by Sunday, but uncertainty remains as that likelihood, so I will keep you updated during the week as it unfolds.

Have a great day!
