A PAIR OF VERY WARM DAYS AHEAD PRIOR TO MORE COOLING LATE WEEK INTO THE WEEKEND WITH A COMPACT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY MORNING PERIOD OF SHOWERS…

Good morning folks, we’re on the precipice of our third blast of summer-like temperatures but the third will be like the first one, and not like the recent intense second one, as highs crest into the upper 70s to mid 80s today, and well into the 80s tomorrow before another longer-lasting cooler-to-seasonable period arrives through this coming weekend.

For today and tomorrow, high pressure builds well to our southeast which heats us up for a couple of days. We should see mostly sunny skies through thin clouds today which remains dry, with partly to mostly sunny skies tomorrow and a couple of isolated showers or a thunderstorm by afternoon with lows in the mid to upper 50s both nights.

A cold front slides through Wednesday night and drops our temps into the upper 60s to mid 70s on Thursday under mostly sunny skies with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

By Friday, there will be a compact little storm system diving southeast along the east side of a developing upper ridge over the Great Lakes, and on the west side of a developing trough over Atlantic Canada. This system will likely be directed through NH and Maine into EMass, but could clip parts of our area, especially along and east of the Pioneer Valley with a period of rainfall by Friday afternoon and night, possibly lingering into Saturday morning.

Highs Friday will only reach the mid 60s to low 70s, and as the storm passes to our east, a bit more in the way of cooler air gets dragged down, landing our highs in the 60s on Saturday with the hope that we salvage a partly sunny afternoon after a mostly cloudy start.

Sunday looks like the weekend pick with more sunshine and highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s, and Monday looks similar weather-wise, though an isolated shower is possible at this range.

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
