ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM TODAY OTHERWISE VERY WARM AND HUMID WITH A DRIER, WAY NICER WEEKEND AHEAD LASTING INTO MONDAY… HOT AND HUMID AIR LOOKING MORE LIKELY BY TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY

Good morning folks, does anyone really *love* this humidity, or humidity in general? I’m genuinely curious, as this writer actually contributes to its increase after muggy air first arrives by sobbing profusely with said writer’s tear evaporation contributing to excess surface vapor across the region! I bring it up because it’s gonna be quite humid today, but we do have relief coming this weekend!

For today, a cold front is dropping south through the region but the parameters are not there to produce a widespread severe weather outbreak, so I am expected some isolated showers or a thunderstorm or two to form by afternoon, but many of us should stay dry. I will keep an eye on radar and update as needed.

Highs will reach the upper 70s to upper 80s with high humidity to start the day, but by this evening dewpoints should be coming down a bit behind the front.

Lows will dip into the upper 50s to low 60s, and will be followed by a truly beautiful weekend, so that’s something to look forward to!

We can expect plenty of sunshine all weekend long (and well into next week, while we’re at it) with highs in the mid 70s to mid 80s and lows in the 50s with much lower humidity. Some guidance does show a few isolated showers for Saturday, so while I can’t rule that out, it’s unlikely at the moment.

Gorgeous weather persists into Monday with highs in the upper 70s to upper 80s as temps start to tick upward. This will be followed by a giant upper ridge over the central part of the country bobbing east and spreading some of its heat dome influence over New England.

This could give us a bout of hot and humid weather with highs Tuesday rising into the low 80s to low 90s from the hills to the valley under sunny skies, and may persist into at least Wednesday with more hot and humid conditions.

The late-week timeframe is murky at the moment, as an upper trough may build south of Quebec and deliver some cooler weather our way, but I will update you as we get closer.

Have a great a day and stay cool!

YOUR NUTSHELL:
–It’s already quite warm this morning with temps in the 60s and low 70s, and dewpoints are up as well
–Any patchy fog burns off, and delivers us into a partly to mostly sunny day with highs well into the 80s, to near 90º in a few spots
–It’ll be quite humid, but a cold front will be dropping south through the day
–A few isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected, but it will be very hit or miss
–The front clears south of us this evening, and lows will drop down to either side of 60º under partly cloudy skies
–This weekend looks killer with highs in the mid 70s to mid 80s and lows in the mid to upper 50s with abundant sunny/clear skies, and much lower humidity
–Monday looks similar with plenty of sunshine as high pressure dominates, but highs will creep up into the upper 70s to upper 80s with lows in the low 60s
–By Tuesday through Thursday we *may* have another heat wave to contend with, though I don’t anticipate it will be on the level of the last monster
–Highs should crest into the mid 80s to low 90s Tuesday, and possibly up into the mid 90s for a day on Wednesday
–An upper trough looks to build into our region from the north by late week, which could cool things down, but I will update on that as we get closer
