INCREASINGLY SUNNY AND WARM WEATHER THRU END OF WEEK WITH A FEW SHOWERS THURSDAY, AND THUNDER POSSIBLE FRIDAY AS HUMIDITY RISES… GORGEOUS, DRIER WEEKEND AHEAD…

Good morning folks, we’ve got some patchy dense fog out there in northern MA, SVT and SWNH, and a few other spots, but that will burn off by mid-morning and we’ll all be delivered into a sunnier and warmer Wednesday with highs reaching the upper 70s to mid 80s.

High pressure continues to build in for the second half of our work week after our soaking rainfall of Monday and Tuesday, which was much needed, beneficial rain to get into the ground to help mitigate ongoing dry and drought conditions (see attached rain totals chart).

After our sunny Wednesday, lows will dip to either side of 60º, followed by high pressure building into our region late week and positioning to our south. This will help push southwest flow into New England, and increase humidity Thursday and especially Friday, resulting in scattered showers or a t-storm later Thursday, with a better chance for showers and thunderstorms on Friday afternoon.

Highs each day should reach the mid to upper 80s with a few spots hitting 90º possible, and lows in the low to mid 60s before a cold front drops thru our region Friday night.

That front will deliver to us a gorgeous weekend with plenty of sunshine, lower humidity, and highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s from high terrain to the valley. Lows will fall into the delicious range of the mid to upper 50s both nights, so you really can’t ask for a nicer summer weekend than that!

By Monday and Tuesday, humidity looks to start creeping up again as another disturbance brings a chance for some scattered showers and thunderstorms by Monday with highs in the low to mid 80s with sunnier conditions and similar temperatures by Tuesday.

Have a great a day and enjoy the sunshine!
