Dave's Daily Report

WE’RE MOSTLY DRY THROUGH TUESDAY WITH A FEW SPOT SHOWERS NORTH OF RT. 2 THIS EVENING AND SOUTH OF I-90 EARLY TOMORROW MORNING… COOLER WEEKEND AHEAD...
Good morning folks, we essentially have a trio of weak systems for tonight, Sunday night, and again on Tuesday night with which to mostly say “meh” to, but I will run through them in this report.
In general, temperatures will cool down this weekend, milden up early to mid next week, and then cool back down starting on Thanksgiving, which potential for much colder temps as we close out November and move into December.
Backing up, we’ll see more clouds than sun today with mostly cloudy skies expected, especially second half of the day as our northern stream system passes east into Quebec, and our southern stream system passes east off of the Mid-Atlantic coastline, never becoming friends, never shaking hands, and just generally exhibiting atmospheric aloofness, which is quite rude, if you ask me!
In layperson’s terms, that means highs should reach the 40s with a few showers possible north of Rt. 2 in far northern MA, SVT and SWNH, followed by lows in the low to mid 30s with a few showers very early Saturday morning south of the Pike.
Both systems track east and away this weekend, leaving us with increasing sunshine and cooler temps with highs in the 40s Saturday and upper 30s to mid 40s Sunday with lows in the mid to upper 20s each night.

High pressure is responsible for this fair weather, and the center of that cell will pass to our south by about Tuesday, which will bring Monday sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 40s, followed by temps cresting 50º on Tuesday with clouds increasing as another warm front presses into our region, likely bringing showers Tuesday night into early Wednesday.
Temps may really spike well into the 50s on Wednesday for a day behind our warm front, but a cold front will then sweep through the region cooling us down for the end of the week, including Thanksgiving Day.
While it’s a low chance, a secondary low may form along the cold front that passes through our region and that could bring some surprise showers to us next Thursday, but for now it’s a dry forecast with partly sunny skies and highs in the 40s.
Thereafter, we look to get colder by the following weekend during which time there will be some potential for wintry precipitation but I don’t want to get ahead of myself. It’s just something I’m monitoring for now.
I hope you have a great day, and would be grateful if you’d consider supporting my work through purchase of holiday gifts for you or yours before my 2025 Weather Nut Holiday Merch Sale ends Dec. 1st (links below). Thanks!
