WARMTH AND HUMIDITY PEAK UNDER HAZY SKIES TODAY, THEN WE GRADUALLY LOWER TEMPS & HUMIDITY THRU THE UPCOMING WEEKEND… A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL BRINGS SOME SHOWERS BY THURSDAY

Good morning folks, we’ve got some wildfire smoke aloft from western U.S. fires that is producing some cool sunrise pics this morning, and will produce some hazy skies at times through the next few days until our Thursday frontal boundary is drawn southward and through New England by late week, ushering in (for many) much-awaited cooler, and especially drier air with way more comfy dewpoints.

For today, we’re still dealing with summer warmth and humidity with highs reaching the mid 70s to mid 80s under hazy skies with an isolated shower possible south of the Pike later on. Otherwise, we’ll mostly sunny today with light winds, followed by lows in the mid 50s to low 60s overnight.

Wednesday is more or less a repeat of Tuesday with similar high temps, maybe a touch less humidity, along with mostly sunny (and at times, hazy) skies, and similar lows to tonight with clouds building late.

By Thursday, we’ll see a slow-moving front now in northern New England slowly sag south through the region, which will help focus some scattered showers or a thunderstorm through our region, but at the moment, no washouts or severe weather are expected.

Highs Thursday will be in the mid 70s to mid 80s with humidity decreasing at night behind the front as lows drop firmly into the 50s.

Once we reach Friday into the weekend?

Arguably, in my biased opinion, some of the best weather most comfortable weather conditions will arrive and spill through our hills and dales of the greater WMass region!

Yes, it’s the weather, things can change, but right now it looks like a big old high pressure system will push much drier, and cooler air into our region with plenty of sunshine, and with any luck, will also push wildfire smoke south of our region.

Highs should be in the 70s Friday through Sunday with lows in the upper 40s to 50s and much lower dewpoint temperatures, meaning less humidity.

By Monday, a storm system may run through the region with some stratiform type rainfall or showers, with the potential for another shot of drier, temperate weather by Tuesday into the middle of next week.

Have a great day, peeps!
