DEEP FAIR WEATHER ON THE WAY INTO THURSDAY… BREEZY MON-DAY AND QUITE COOL MON-NIGHT… WARMING MID-WEEK THEN SHOWERS BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON / EVE WITH A COLD FRONT… COOLER WEEKEND

Good morning folks, our last light showers are departing central MA around dawn, and sunshine will be developing behind our soaking Sunday system as strong high pressure pushes in from the Great Lakes region. Days of sunshine are on the way as a result.

For today, clouds will break up and reveal a mostly sunny day with some northwest breezes kicking up and gusting 15-25mph at times, and possibly up to 30mph in spikes.

Highs will not make it above the 60s to low 70s with cooler northerly flow working into the region on the back side of our departed cold front and the front side of our incoming high (together, both features promote northerly flow out of Canada).

As wind subsides tonight and we remain clear and dry, radiational cooling will develop, and help to drop our low temps down into the upper 30s to mid 40s.

Tuesday will similar to today but without the wind as high pressure glides into our region, producing light winds, sunny skies, and highs in the low 60s to low 70s, followed by lows in the mid 40s to low 50s with low humidity.

On Wednesday, high pressure will slip east and off the coastline, and as such we’ll find ourselves in a southerly flow on the back side of that high, and while sunshine will continue, highs will rise into the 70s to near 80º as a result, with lows firmly in the 50s.

By Thursday, humidity will be rising with dewpoints into the mid 60s or so ahead of another cold front that will pass through Thursday night into early Friday.

Highs should peak out in the low 70s to low 80s from high terrain to valley with clouds increasing and some scattered showers by Thursday afternoon or night ahead of the front. Lows will drop into the 55-60º range.

That front should clear us sometime during Friday, with sunshine developing by afternoon and highs reaching the upper 60s to upper 70s before cooler air sweeps into the region by Friday night with lows in the upper 40s to mid 50s.

For next weekend, I’d say Saturday is probably the weekend pick with cooler highs in the 60s to low/mid 70s, followed by another round of showers on Sunday, the way it looks now.

That Sunday to Tuesday timeframe may be an unsettled one with some frontal boundaries and waves of low pressure working through the northeast U.S., which could result in a spike of humidity by Tuesday prior to ANOTHER cold front bringing cooler and drier air by the middle of next week. I will keep an eye on all of it and my other one, too!

Have a great day!
