CHANGEABLE WEATHER ON THE WAY…HUMIDITY INCREASES THIS AFTERNOON, WIND GUSTS AND SHOWERS OVERNIGHT, WINDY AND WARM THURSDAY, THEN COOLING / DRYING FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, WARMER SUNDAY

Good morning everybody, we’re kicking off in the 50s to low 60s and with plenty of clouds around and those will thicken with time today, leading to a few showers and some southwest breezes by afternoon. After that, it’ll get gusty, humid, and a bit showery overnight, so let’s dive into the details.

For today, as mentioned, clouds will be dominating our skies with some early sunny breaks. Still, the trend will be skies becoming overcast with highs in the 70s to low 80s.

As high pressure continues to track east into the ocean, southwest flow will strengthen and allow for humidity to increase this afternoon and tonight, which will be accompanied by an increase in southwest wind gusts of 20-35mph by tonight ahead of our incoming cold front.

While a few scattered showers are expected late this afternoon, it’s really the overnight period when we can expect some more showers and perhaps a few on the heavier side, especially north of the Rt. 2 corridor closer to the storm racing east across Ontario and Quebec.

Lows tonight will be WARM, hanging in the 60s with humid conditions, showery at times, and gusty.

By Thursday morning, any showers should be winding down and because warm air will lag the front before we cool Thursday night into Saturday, high temps will rise into the mid 70s to mid 80s which will help pull down now-westerly wind gusts of 20-35mph for Thursday afternoon as we develop partly sunny skies by that time.

Cooler air will finally work into the region by Thursday night with lows in the upper 40s to mid 50s expected under partly cloudy skies.

Friday and Saturday look lovely and cooler with sunny skies and highs in the mid 60s to mid 70s Friday, then the upper 60s to upper 70s for Saturday.

For Friday night, radiational cooling should be maximized, which will plummet temps down into the low to mid 40s, so Saturday morning looks chilly and dry!

Saturday night may feature a few showers as a warm front pushes through the region, and so temps will only dip to the mid to upper 50s, with some showers lasting into Sunday morning.

The Sunday through Tuesday timeframe looks to be warmer, and trending towards increased humidity, especially by late Monday into Tuesday with highs generally in the low 70s to low 80s range, from hills to valley respectively.

No big cold, no big heat, no big rains, no big wind (though fairly gusty later tonight into Thursday), but we’re bowling right down the middle of the lane with average to slightly above average temps, and conditions that us tough New Englanders were born to handle.

Have a great day!
