GUSTY WESTERLY BREEZES TODAY AND TOMORROW WITH INCREASING SUNSHINE AND PLEASANT HUMIDITY AND TEMPS… A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS OR A T-STORM EACH AFTERNOON POSSIBLE, ESPECIALLY SAT/SUN.

Good morning folks, thanks very much for all of the reports, conditions, photos and videos yesterday, it was quite they dynamic weather day, and there were many wind damage reports and outages as well, along with visible cloud rotation, and even a tornado touchdown in Woodstock, VT, which is north of my coverage area though always notable when VT gets a tornado!

As for our weather going forward, it’s waaaaay calmer as I look ahead in time, and that starts today! Sunshine will develop after some morning clouds, and highs will climb well into the 70s to perhaps 80º, and that temperature pattern will persist through each weekend day as well. Lows will drop into the 50s each night, and our humidity will be pretty comfortable.

Of note today and tomorrow are expected westerly wind gusts of 15-30mph at times given the pressure gradient between the departing Canadian low which swept that cold front through overnight, as well as high pressure in the central U.S.

Also of note is the chance for isolated showers or a thunderstorm each afternoon, especially Saturday and/or Sunday, but no severe weather is expected and most of us will stay dry, the way it looks now.

By late Sunday night into Monday morning, clouds should be increasing, and a storm system will be ejecting eastward out of the Ohio Valley and passing somewhere over southern New England or to its south, which has implications for total rainfall we can expect.

There’s still plenty of time for changes, but for now it continues to look like a decent to potentially soaking rainfall is possible for Monday afternoon through Monday night and ending sometime on Tuesday.

Monday looks COOL right now, with highs only reaching the mid 60s to mid 70s, followed by rainy lows in the 50s.

After some showers Tuesday morning, we should see high pressure build into the region with drying conditions and increasing sunshine into the middle of the week with highs rebounding into the mid 70s to low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday, with a spot shower possible by Thursday.

I don’t see any big upper level ridges setting up shop along the eastern seaboard so expect tolerable temps for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
