Good afternoon everybody, our storm is now centered over Lake Ontario and will track into far northern New England, holding its strength as it does so.

Now as the storm pushes into northern NY, the steadier precip shield will pass west to east through our region with high-terrain snow and/or mix depending on how high up in elevation you are (the higher up, the better for all snow and higher accumulations in SVT and northwest MA).

The Pioneer Valley should experience mostly rain, though from about Greenfield on northward to Brattleboro and beyond the CT River Valley may see some mix at times, so I can’t rule out slushy coatings of snow by the end of tonight in those areas, and maybe an inch or two in southeast VT.

Again, the 2pm to 10pm span is the main impact timeframe, so please post any conditions you are seeing (or later on when things get more active, feel free to come back to this post and add a report).

I will update again in the early evening, but the high terrain areas of the Berkshires, western hilltowns and especially SVT should see accumulating snow develop with slippery travel, especially after sunset.
