***** Please post your condition reports below!! *****

Good morning everybody, dynamic weather is now incoming for WMass and surrounding regions through about 8am or 9am, so be alert to the southwest as that is the direction storms are coming from.

The one in NW.CT which will track through southern Berkshire County and through the Northampton area looks very strong right now with a bow-echo look that could mean a line of damaging wind as it moves through.

A rotation couplet is observed as per the attached graphic (red and green colors in close proximity to each other indicating winds in different directions over a short distance).

Please be careful this morning, I will continue to monitor, and Please share this post and comment to get in people’s feeds, early morning strong/severe weather catches people off guard the most.

Thank you…

P.S. In looking at lightning strike data just after posting this, it’s possible that the potency is translating south and east of our area over southern CT and southern Worcester County (though that’s still my coverage area). Will monitor…

ALERT: TORNADO WATCH POSTED FOR LITCHFIELD COUNTY IN NW. CT AND COLUMBIA COUNTY OF E.NY JUST WEST OF THE SOUTHERN BERKSHIRES UNTIL 7AM… A STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM LINE WILL SWEEP THE REGION EARLY THIS MORNING… SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NOW POSTED AT 2:45AM FOR THE CENTRAL AND ULTIMATELY NORTHERN TACONICS OF EASTERN NY IN COLUMBIA COUNTY, EVENTUALLY TO IMPACT SW.VT, AND MAY CLIP NORTHERNMOST BERKSHIRES… (3am Monday)

Good morning everybody, I realize most folks are asleep but if you see this, please comment on it or share it to help it get into people’s feeds, as night time severe weather can catch people off guard.

While hopefully these storms will weaken with time as they translate east, the potential is there for some quick-hitting heavy rain, thunder, lightning, hail and gusty winds.

There is a severe-warned thunderstorm that is racing northeast at 60mph toward Bennington, VT as of this writing.

Also please remember, a Tornado Watch is just that – a Watch. It means the NWS is watching for severe weather conditions to develop, that the conditions are present, but that the severe weather has not manifested yet. That is relegated to Warnings, which mean severe weather is imminent and likely.

Check back for posts in the next couple hours as this line approaches and moves through between 4-7am as mentioned yesterday…
