Good morning everybody, today is going to be a BEAUTIFUL warm day well up into the 70s. Folks north of the MA/NH-VT line are still on the cool side of a warm front that stalled out, but should resume northward progression. How far it gets, is uncertain, but for southern New England, everybody warms today, except for direct southern coastal residents, where air off the cooler ocean water will keep temps down a bit there.
We have a full Lunar Eclipse coming up in the wee hours tomorrow morning (I believe 2am-4am), but it will likely be mostly cloudy. MIGHT have some breaks, but viewing will be tricky at best, I think.

High pressure moves to our east today, allowing warm southerly winds to move in and warm us up, and this also makes way for a slow-moving cold front to press into our area. This front is advecting (i.e. transporting) copious amounts of Gulf and Atlantic moisture northward into our area, and we’ll see a lot of rain, on the order of 1-2 inches starting tomorrow morning, and really picking up in the afternoon and evening on Tuesday.

Winds could be gusty at times, temps around 60 degrees, and a rumble of thunder is not out of the question.
Furthermore, very early Wednesday morning some places could turn to snow for a brief period, as the cold front pushes east, and wraps in colder air from Canada. The highest elevations are most likely to see this, but snow and/or sleet is not out of the question for anyone in WMass. Hard to imagine any of it will stick, highly doubtful.

High pressure starts to build in from the west Wednesday, and it will be a COOL day, highs only in the low to mid 40s, and the rest of the looks to be around 50 for highs.

In other words, back to reality for mid April.

GARDENERS/FARMERS:
You will likely need to protect sensitive vegetation and crops, as Wed morning, Thurs. morning, and Fri. morning will all likely be BELOW FREEZING. Especially Thursday morning, lows could get down into the low to mid 20s!

So be aware of that.

Ok, hope everyone has a great day. Thank you.
