Good morning everybody, I hope for all of you celebrating Christmas it’s an anjoyable time with family and friends now and for the rest of the day and night.

Family stuff can be challenging at times, but remember we’re all human, and last time I checked, it ain’t easy being a human, even in the best of circumstances. No one gives us a handbook, and I hope any family drama is minimal to none this year for you and yours.

WEATHER SUMMARY
–We’ll enjoy more sunshine earlier, but some high to mid level clouds will be filtering in from northwest to southeast as the day wears on
–Highs will make it into the 35-40 degree range with light south to southwest winds
–For tonight, it will become mostly cloudy and lows will drop into the low to mid 20s, with some upper 20s south of the MassPike and into southern Worcester County
–REMEMBER: Black ice can form with each above-freezing day and below-freezing night, so watch for the refreeze cycles in your neck of the woods
–Thursday will also be mostly cloudy with some sunny breaks, but it will be dry. Highs will again reach the 35-40 degree range
–Clouds really thicken Thursday night ahead of a warm frontal system
–Lows will reach the upper 20s to near 30 degrees
–Precipitation, showery in form, will spread east into the region, and some light sleet, freezing rain or freezing drizzle is possible after midnight
–This light icing is most likely along/north of Route 2 but could spread as far south as the MassPike
–Slippery conditions may develop for some during Friday morning’s commute, so stay tuned for updates
–Any showers remaining by late morning or so will turn to plain rain as we milden into the low 40s behind the warm front
–A couple of showers are possible early Friday night, otherwise it will be cloudy with lows near freezing
–Saturday is the pick of the weekend for sure, with at least partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 30s to low 40s as high pressure works through the region
–Lows will be in the 20s Saturday night
–Clouds build on Sunday, with a stronger storm well west of us spreading in its easterly precip shield as it wraps up near the western Great Lakes
–There’s a low chance for some icing as it moves in, but it depends on its timing of arrival, which is uncertain
–Showers could begin Sunday afternoon or as late as Sunday night, so stay tuned for updates on this piece as well
–Right now, it looks to start in the afternoon and be mild with highs in the 40s, so no icing would result in the current scenario
–Lows would be near 40 degrees, and Monday looks to be rainy in the 40s as well
–For now, New Year’s Eve looks partly sunny with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s, so let’s hope that holds

Have a great rest of your day, and again, Merry Christmas! I am so grateful for all of you! <3
