First Frost this weekend for WMass, 9/15/20

[FIRST FROST POTENTIAL CONTINUES TO GROW FOR THIS WEEKEND IN PARTS OF THE WMASS REGION… DID ANYONE SEE FROST THIS MORNING? MIGHT BE A FEW VERY ISOLATED PATCHES… ONE SPOT IN NORTHERN BENNINGTON COUNTY HIT THE FREEZING MARK… OTHERWISE, FILTERED SUNSHINE THROUGH SMOKY HAZE TODAY, AND COOL… WARMING WED/THURS, A FEW SHOWERS THURSDAY NIGHT, THEN COOLING FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY… 7:00AM TUES]

Good morning everybody, all is quiet in the land of the golden west, but it sure is chilly this morning! Many readings into the mid to upper 30s, and some in the low to mid 40s.

High pressure is centered over the eastern Great Lakes and will be drifting southeast through the region, and position itself to our south for Wednesday and Thursday which will develop a warmer southwesterly flow. A weakening cold front will then press southeast into the region Thursday night and bring a few showers at night and into early Friday morning.

Thereafter, the coolest temps of the incoming Autumn season will arrive for the weekend, and frost will more likely than not visit some of us by early Sunday and/or Monday morning.

Other than a few showers Thursday night, no rain is in sight at the moment so I’m just gonna layout the daily details below.

DAILIES
Today/Tuesday: Mostly sunny, hazy at times with filtered sunshine, highs in the mid to upper 60s, lows in the low to mid 40s under clear skies, light wind, low humidity

Wednesday: Warmer, mostly sunny, highs in the low to mid 70s, with lows in the mid/upper 50s as humidity slowly creeps up, but still comfortable, light wind

Thursday: Warmest day of the next week or so, partly sunny, highs in the low to upper 70s, a few showers at night with a cold frontal passage, with lows in the upper 40s

Friday: After a few morning showers, clearing with sunshine developing, highs only in the low to mid 60s, northwest breezes, lows in the mid to upper 30s

Saturday: FROST potential by the following morning… highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s under mostly sunny skies, lows in the 30s

Sunday: FROST potential by the following morning… highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s under mostly sunny skies, lows in the 30s

Early next week: Temps should slowly moderate, but will still be in the 65-70º range with fair weather

Hope you all have a great day!
