YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning folks, well, we’ve hit a quieter streak of weather which is welcome on a lot of levels, as much as I love all kinds of active weather conditions. It’s nice to take a breather for the moment.
In fact, I don’t see much storminess at all, save for some showers this afternoon and evening, again Monday night, and maybe Friday sometime. None of these three showery periods look to produce much precip, though Friday is a long way off, so I will update you as we get closer.
WEATHER NUT MOBILE APP *IS* COMING SOON
Before I jump into a bulleted list of our weather points below, I wanted to let you know that the process of wrapping up my upcoming mobile weather app release is near!
This way, I can reach you more directly where more of you read my work, which is your mobile device. We just exited the testing stage and we’re putting the final touches and edits on it prior to release for iPhone and Android (tablets will be supported in future releases, likely late this year).
When you download and start using the app, you’ll see that you can refer friends, family, and colleagues to download the app, but you’ll also notice a “Provide Feedback” button in the lower right corner of the screen to tap in case you have any bugs or issues to report, which happens with any new software release.
I’m hopeful we’ll get it up on the app stores for free download in a couple of weeks around May 1st, but I will let you know when it’s ready.
As for our weather, it’s definitely no-big-whoop type conditions, although the wind overnight tonight into Sunday morning will “stand up” a bit.
For today, we’ll see more clouds than sun, but with the warm front east of us, we will skyrocket into the 70s today, and reach the low 80s in some valley locations. If we get enough sunny breaks we could even see some isolated pockets of low to mid 80s!
By late morning into early afternoon I expected some scattered showers will work through the region, and we’ll see hit-or-miss showers at times this afternoon and especially this evening as the cold front works through the region.
Behind the front, winds will pick up out of the west-northwest gusting 30-45mph tonight and into Sunday morning with lows in the upper 30s to 40s.
High pressure starts to nose in from the west on Sunday into Monday, and this will cool Sunday’s highs down into the 50s to low 60s under mostly sunny skies as wind relaxes by afternoon and evening.
Lows will drop down into the 30s and highs on Monday will again climb into the 50s to low 60s with clouds increasing late in the day.
Monday night showers develop as another frontal boundary pushes into the region, this time in the form of a warm front. Lows will be in the 40s, and showers may last into early Tuesday morning before we clear out and develop some sunshine by Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday through Thursday look beautiful with highs well into the 60s to low 70s under mostly sunny skies, which will produce a pollen explosion most likely, so get your meds and other aids ready, allergy people. Lows will be in the 40s to near 50º during this period.
By Friday, some more showers are possible with another frontal boundary, but again, I’m not seeing any big storminess at the moment, so let’s enjoy the calmer, more pleasant Spring weather while we’ve got it!
Have a great day!
