Western Mass Regional Weather for October 16, 2024

8:35AM WEDNESDAY MORNING WEATHER UPDATE: Good Wednesday morning everybody, I had some publishing issues this morning, so I just wanted to provide a quick weather update.

We have a Freeze Warning posted by the National Weather Service for Litchfield County CT for late tonight.

Highs will only reach the mid 40s to mid 50s with northwest winds gusting 15-25mph at times.

Winds will slacken tonight, and that will allow radiational cooling to set up, dropping our low temps into the mid 20s to low 30s, so freezing temps aree expected across the entire greater WMass region overnight with clear skies, dry air, and light winds.

Thursday through next Wednesday looks mostly sunny with high pressure setting up over the eastern half of the country, and then moving south of New England.

This will allow highs to climb from the 50s Thursday, into the 60s Friday and Saturday, and then the 60s and low/mid 70s by Sunday into the middle of next week, with lows in the 30s Thursday through Friday night, rising up into the low to mid 40s thereafter.

Watch for the Full Moon tonight rising in the east early this evening, as well as the Comet setting in the west early.

Have a great day!
