NO BIG WHOOP WEATHER ON THE WAY… MILD AND SLIGHTLY SHOWERY TOMORROW, COOLER WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK, MILDER AGAIN, A FEW SNOW SHOWERY SHOTS OF VERY LOW IMPACT (IF AT ALL)… CORNER = TURNED (6pm Thurs)

Good evening everybody, just a super quick set of double-dashes for you tonight.

The short story, is that our upcoming weather is not going to weather our bodies and homes all that much, the way it looks now.

I feel like I’ve been putting the pedal to the metal since the previous winter, through last year’s severe Sprummer, super-soaked Summer, then wet Autuminter with tons of mild rain October, then snow storm in November, into and through this Winter until…. now.

It’s nice to let my guard down for a moment, to be honest, though that never lasts for long in New England.

Ok, personal perceptions aside, it’s double-dash time:

SUMMARY
–Clouds increase tonight in advance of an incoming warm front
–Lows should fall to either side of 40 degrees, so we’ll continue the melt overnight
–Showers are possible by the pre-dawn hours of Friday morning as the front gets closer
–The big story for tomorrow is the very mild air, which will reach the 55-60 mark for many of us
–Scattered showers should continue in the morning, but should let up in the afternoon
–Patchy fog is possible during the first half of the day as the warmer air moves in
–After our afternoon lull, some more showers, perhaps with a brief downpour and gusty wind, will kick up in the evening as the cold front approaches
–Overall, none of us should see any more than a quarter or third of an inch of rainfall, with some folks seeing less
–No big whoop, in other words (three other words, to be exact)
–Lows will dip into the mid to upper 30s as any showers abate and pass off to our east-northeast
–Aside from a couple of low light snow chances Monday and Thursday, we’re looking partly to mostly sunny from Saturday until the end of next week!
–Highs on Saturday reach the low to mid 40s with lows in the 20s
–Sunday through Tuesday could be the last little wintry kiss with highs either side of 40 degrees and lows near 20 through the period
–Sunday may see highs stay in the 30s for everybody, so I think that’s the coldest day in the upcoming period
–Then we milden back up by mid week with highs well into the 40s

The snow melt is on, folks, and Spring continues to seep into the region.

Aside from some wackadoodle rogue winter event (which is possible in southern New England any time through mid-May), I think we can say with a reasonable degree of certainty, that we made it through Winter!

SUMMARY:
–Good morning folks, we’re starting the day off in the low to mid 30s
–With some mixed showers last night (and after yesterday’s round of snow melt), there may be a few slick spots out there, so be aware of the roadways
–For today, The Mildening continues as high pressure gives us the slip to the east, allowing temps to warm into the low/mid 50s under partly sunny skies
–Tonight is the first night in a while that we should remain above freezing, with lows in the mid to upper 30s as clouds increase with a shower possible very late
–For Friday, we will be receiving less rain than originally thought, as widespread lift will be strung out which will produce some widely scattered showers during the day
–Highs will be very mild, 55-60 degrees in general
–It will be noticeably humid, and some patchy fog is possible, especially earlier in the day. Expect a mostly cloudy day
–The low level jet thought earlier in the week to produce more in the way of downpours should pass more to our southeast
–Still a few downpours are possible tomorrow night ahead of the cold frontal passage, and a few wind gusts can’t be ruled out either.
–Lows Friday night will be in the mid to upper 30s
–For Saturday, cold air lags the front, so expect a cooler but still nice, mostly sunny day with highs in the mid to upper 40s
–Westerly winds will gust 20-30mph and usher cooler air in, with lows dropping into the 20s
–Sunday will be colder, with highs in the mid 30s to near 40 degrees under mostly sunny skies, with lows in the low 20s
–By Monday, we still have to watch for a weak Clipper system that may bring some light snow to the region
–Beyond that, continued cooler and fair weather is expected on Tuesday
