WIND CHILL ADVISORIES ARE POSTED FOR SVT, BERKSHIRE, HAMPSHIRE AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES, WESTERN HAMPDEN, NORTHERN LITCHFIELD AND NORTHERN WORCESTER COUNTIES UNTIL 10AM… ONE MORE COLD DAY AND NIGHT BEFORE A SEASONABLE WEEKEND, AND UNSEASONABLY MILD EARLY NEXT WEEK PERIOD BEFORE WINTRY MIX POTENTIAL FOR THURSDAY… (6:35am Friday)
Good morning everybody, we are starting out very cold once again, with lows in the low single numbers to 15 below zero or more in some case!
Wind chills will remain in the 10-20 below range for a few areas within those aforementioned counties where the wind kicks up before relenting this afternoon.
SUMMARY
–Highs today will reach the low to upper teens, and lows will drop into the single digits under mostly sunny skies
–High pressure slides off the Mid-Atlantic coastline tonight, and puts us in the return southerly flow this weekend and the first half of next week
–Highs Saturday will be in the upper 20s to low 30s with partly sunny skies on average (more clouds over the Berkshires than valley), with lows in the upper teens
–Highs Sunday will be in the mid to upper 30s under mostly sunny skies, with lows in the 20s, and some black ice by early Monday morning after some Sunday snow melt
–Monday and Tuesday will be very mild, with highs in the 40s high terrain and low to mid 50s in the valley down into northern CT!
–By Wednesday some cold air tries to work back into the region, as a storm pushes in from the west, and the two may combine for a wintry mix mess by Thursday
–We then cool back down next weekend with seasonable cold in the 20s and 30s
Have a great day!
