YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, our gloomy Thursday is behind us and now we’re seeing an upper ridge pushing east into the region today while surface high pressure drains drier air from northeast of Maine down into the greater WMass region.
After some early morning fog burned off, the result will be increasing sunshine, with partly sunny skies on average today as highs crest well into the 70s.
We’ll see clouds increase tonight and into Saturday as our Thursday storm bobs slightly north one last time, and gives us a parting/glancing shot on Saturday with onshore easterly flow, mostly cloudy skies, and a few scattered lighter showers at times.
This surface low will combine with shortwave moving east of the Great Lakes to cool us into the 60s on Saturday and provide a touch of atmospheric inclemency with clouds and some showers.
By Sunday, that storm is cast off into to the dustbin of history, as high pressure builds in from the southwest, and sunshine develops, lasting through the middle of this coming week the way it looks now! Woot!
Highs reach the 70s on Sunday, the mid 70s to low 80s on Monday, and the low to mid 80s Tuesday AND Wednesday!
Spring is SPRANGIN’!
By Thursday a cold front will likely push into the region bringing clouds and a period of showers, but that’s a long way off right now, and I think we can just appreciate the short-term incoming weather with 5 out of the next 6 days looking dry, warm, partly to mostly sunny, and pleasant.
Have a great day!
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
