YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–A healthy helping of no-big-whoop weather is on the way, folks
–The most noteworthy day of the next 7 is today’s sunny sky, with highs well into the 60s with some folks reaching the low 70s in the lower valley (Springfield/Hartford corridor)
–Get outside and enjoy it because temps will be coming down through the weekend and into next week as broad cyclonic flow sets up with air from our northwest and north
–This setup will send a shortwave through the region after midnight tonight with a period of generally light to moderate rainfall for Friday morning, ending by afternoon
–Lows tonight will dip into thte 40s, with highs reaching the upper 40s to 50s for Friday
–The best lift will be to the north of us, and a quarter to half inch of rain is expected from south to north (more north)
–Clouds will linger Friday night with a spot shower possible and lows will dip into the mid to upper 30s
–A brief bit of ridging moves through Saturday, but a few instability showers may pop during a partly sunny afternoon
–Highs will climb into the low to mid 50s, with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s as clouds increase again
–More showers are expected Sunday with a frontal boundary moving through the region with highs either side of 50º
–This makes Saturday the pick for sure
–Behind the cold front Sunday night, we cool down next week with fair weather expected
–Highs should only reach the upper 30s to mid 40s on average and it does look a bit blustery behind that front too, especially for Monday
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, if you are a warm weather lover, today is your day, I’m telling you!
Get outside, walk the dog, walk yourself, put your bare feet on the ground and connect with the Earth, and get some fresh air in the house, as temps are coming up well into the 60s today, with some low 70s possible!
This is the last day for this pre-Spring warmth, as we head back to reality with highs in the 40s and 50s Friday and into next week when some folks in the high terrain may not even reach 40º for high temps.
We have two rain producers, one that moves in after midnight tonight and brings showers through the region into early afternoon tomorrow, and another period of rain on Sunday. Both do not look like washouts, but the ground will get wet to be sure, especially the more north you go in the region.
A front comes through Sunday night, and brings cooler, fair, and blustery conditions by early next week, so again, soak up today!
The Nutshell above contains more details, so be sure to breeze through that, only takes a minute or two.
Have a great day, and if my work helps you through our stormy and sunny periods, please help keep it going throughout 2024 as it’s your support that keeps me on this job for you and yours (options include Cards, PayPal, Venmo, or Check, thank you!)

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
