YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–A cold front swings through this morning with a few final flurries, and then flying flakes go #BuhBye for a while
–Northwest winds will gust 20-30mph behind the front, but should slacken and calm by this evening and tonight
–Highs will reach the upper 20s to mid 30s under mostly sunny skies
–With good radiational cooling tonight, lows will dip into the upper single digits to low teens under clear skies
–Tuesday looks gorgeous with high pressure settling from the northwest, producing sunny skies and seasonable highs in the mid to upper 30s, with lows in the upper teens
–Wednesday is equally lovely with sunshine, and highs in the upper 30s to low 40s and lows in the 20s
–By Thursday, high pressure will have scooted off to the east and will be funneling milder air from the south into our region
–Clouds will also likely be increasing, with highs in the low to mid 40s
–A storm will push off the coast and run over us, but will develop in a mild air envelope, and as such will be mostly rain, but some wintry mix in the high terrain west of the I-91 is possible at night before turning to rain Friday with highs well into the 40s
–A cold front will swing through Friday night dropping lows to either side of 20º
–Fair weather resumes for the weekend with colder temps
–Highs will reach the mid 20s to mid 30s on Saturday, and then the 35-40º range on Sunday
–No big storms are in sight at this time
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, we’ve hit a bit of a meteorological air pocket as an episode #StormDearth2024 begins to play across our region, so the Weekly Nutshell above covers the salient weather points we can expect for now.

The good news is that an abundance of sunshine will be ours to enjoy over the next 3.5 days before clouds and precipitation resume Thursday night into Friday, but that will be accompanied by milder air.

Wind will also be tamping down after today, with calmer conditions through the week.

Next weekend looks colder but dry, and then the far-look ahead is for milder temps next week and the next chance of precip (likely in the form of rain) by the middle of next week.

Thanks for reading, and please remember that my 10th annual 2024 Support Drive is live. Whether it’s sunny or stormy, if you depend on this community weather resource, please consider chipping in at the secure link below (options include Cards, PayPal, Venmo, or Check, thank you!)

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
