–Patchy dense fog this morning in SE.VT and SW.NH lifts later
–Near record warmth with high pressure to our south pumping southwest flow
–Highs mid 70s to low 80s today and tomorrow, a spot shower can’t be ruled out either day
–Lows in the 50s tonight with one last mild night, then 40s for lows Saturday night as a dry cold front drops south through our region
–Sunday is much cooler, with highs only in the upper 40s to mid 50s as we cloud up and see showers move in by afternoon
–Rain lasts Sunday night into Monday morning intermittently, and should quit by afternoon
–Highs Monday will also reach the upper 40s to mid 50s, but highs on Tuesday to Thursday stay in the 40s, and possibly upper 30s in some spots in the high terrain!

Good morning everybody, after our toasty Thursday we’ve got two more where that came from, as we’ll peak again into the mid 70s to low 80s under partly sunny skies on average.

A spot shower is possible each day, but we should be largely dry under partly sunny skies as high pressure continues to drive southwesterly warming breezes into our region. Lows tonight will be in the 50s.

For Saturday evening and night, a mostly dry cold front drops south through the region and puts an end to the late summer warmth with lows dropping into the 40s, which sets us up for a much cooler Sunday to Monday period.

In addition, clouds will build as low pressure zips east into our region behind the front, and brings periods of rain showers through Sunday afternoon, night and into the first half of Monday.

Highs will only reach the upper 40s to mid 50s Sunday and Monday, and lows will drop into the 40s Sunday night, and then the low to mid 30s Monday night with patchy frost possible.

A reinforcing shot of even colder air then descends up on the region during the Tuesday to Thursday timeframe, and highs only expected to reach the 40s with lows in the 20s to low 30s, which means hard freezes are on the way.

And if THAT weren’t enough, we have a chance for our first accumulating snowfall in the high terrain west of the CT River and possible even in the Worcester highlands by Wednesday!
