Western Mass Regional Weather for June 19, 2023

Good morning everybody, this Monday post is a different format today as I am not feeling well and couldn’t put all the pieces together today, and for that I apologize.

As far as our weather is concerned, the period from today through Thursday is mostly dry and will feature increasing sunshine and warming temps as we work through the next 4 days.

For today, we still have another upper low off to our northeast that will circulate around its center two or three impulses for this afternoon, overnight and tomorrow afternoon, each of which will introduce a low chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm. One or two of these may produce heavy rainfall.

Highs today will reach the middle 70s or so with morning sun giving way to afternoon clouds. Lows will be in the 50s with a shower or thunderstorm possible overnight.

For Tuesday, a few showers are possible at any point in the day, and highs should reach the low to mid 70s with lows in the 50s.

Wednesday and Thursday look lovely, as high pressure sets up to our south and drives warming southwesterly flow into the region, right in time for the arrival of the Summer Solstice at 10:57am on Wednesday morning.

Highs will reach the 75-80º range Wedneday with lows in the 50s, and then the upper 70s to mid 80s on Thursday for a legit summah taste! Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected.

Friday actually could fill out a trio of mostly sunny, very warm days, again with highs in the low to mid 80s, but a few showers are possible as inclement weather starts to gather near our region for next weekend, unfortunately.

A frontal boundary will be working into the region, and this will help focus periods of showers and thunderstorms each afternoon with warm temps in the upper 70s to 80s each day and lows near 60º.

I hope you have a great day, and while our weather is looking pretty tranquil before the changes over the weekend I may take tomorrow and/or the next day off as I need to rest, folks.

I hope things go your way today, take good care, Dave.
