WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
Top of the morning to you and yours! Your fair weather friend and mine, High Pressure, will spend time with us over the next days prior to a couple of miscreant shortwaves raining on our parades Tuesday and Wednesday which will be followed by cooler conditions late week with a potential for snow to rain Friday night into Saturday, but before we dive into all of the weather details below, let’s check a note from our new local weekend sponsor, #CranberryHillHealingArts located in Amherst, MA.

***DHTWN DAILY WEATHER REPORT***
——————————————-
May this day somehow, and in some unexpected way, bestow an energetic parcel of goodness into your life that puts an abnormally increased number of smiles to your face today, AND, may you also indulge me in a rare weekend proliferation of a plethora of double–dashes for the purpose of weather deets dissemination activities. Forward we go…

–We’re starting off today on the chilly side with temps in the low to mid 30s with occasionally gusty winds
–Overnight wind gusts reached maxed speeds of 20-35mph with a couple of stronger gusts in the Berkshires
–For today, we should still see moderately blustery conditions during the morning with continued northwesterly flow
–However, through the afternoon any wind should be lessening as high pressure nudges in from the west
–Highs today will reach the mid 30s to low 40s, and feel like the mid to upper 20s in higher gusts early
–We should enjoy mostly sunny skies but some clouds may mix in at times, too
–Lows tonight will crash into the upper teens to low 20s under mostly clear skies, dry air, and calm/light wind
–For Monday, departing high pressure gives us one last mostly sunny day, and it will be milder as flow turns southerly
–Milder highs will crest into the low to mid 40s, and clouds will increase in the evening
–Lows will sit down to near freezing
–As early as sunrise we should see first rain showers from our next system, and it may be mixing with snow in the Berkshires and western hills up into SVT
–Tuesday and Wednesday look showery throughout, so expect wet weather
–There may be periods of lulls, or lighter rain, or more scattered showers, but for now the whole period, especially Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, looks wet
–It also looks quite mild with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s on Tuesday and the low to mid 50s on Wednesday due to strong southerly flow
–Lows will be in the 40s
–Thursday is our transition day behind a cold front, with highs in the mid to upper 40s but then falling into the 20s for lows after a partly sunny day with drying conditions
–Friday through next Monday (including the weekend) is quite murky right now
–We can expect some inclement weather at some point during this time frame, but exactly when is unclear
–What is clear, is that it will be colder with highs in the 30s and lows below freezing, and this could mean some wintry precipitation, but I’m just going to leave it at that
–We crave certainty in life because uncertainty is the reality and nature of things

AND REMEMBER…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
